Rob Wilson has been playing guitar since he was 8 years old.
First studying classical guitar, then electric guitar before playing his first "pub gig" at the age of eleven. He has been gigging pretty much non-stop since then and has performed at venues including Ronnie Scotts and Manchester Academy.
Rob is a published songwriter and has sessioned on many albums and EPs over the years, as well as releasing his own material with various projects covering many different genres.
He currently plays in three York based bands.
Rob started teaching professionally at the age of 18 after studying music A-Level and has been teaching professionally since 2004, teaching over 400 pupils, many of whom have gone on to play in well respected bands. Many have followed their musical interests to degree level and pursued careers in music.
He lives in York with his partner and three children.
